Next, jump across to the next roof to the south to loot the packs dropped by the 3 archers you killed earlier. They'll be lurking near the horse statue to the right of the citadel's main entrance. Move to the far edge and take out 2 more archers down below. Swing across to the next roof to the west. If you missed it earlier, statue #8 for the Vandal Challenge is here at the edge of the roof. Then move up to the peak, peer over the top, and shoot the Greek fire vessel to take out all 3 archers on the next roof. If you keep to the lower right side of the roof, you can target the single archer, and the others won't be able to hit you. When you do, more archers appear-one directly ahead and a squad of three ahead and to the left. Use the metal grapple rings to swing over to the roof where the last archer was standing. Then take care of a second archer on the rooftop ahead. Kill him with a headshot from your weapon of choice. Stay low as a Deathless archer approaches from the direction of the gate. Loot the packs left behind by the archers you killed with the trebuchet. Then climb around to the right and scramble onto the ledge above.

It's right on the east side of The Lost City. On the other side you'll discover a new camp-fire and see the notice that you're now entering the tomb area. Swing over a gap and then squeeze through a hole in the wall. You'll find the tomb entrance at the top.

You're now looking at a series of stairs. After a minute you'll see the note saying you're entering the tomb area. Once you're inside just run forward down the passage. You access the cave by jumping over from a fallen log. You should see the notice saying you've entered the tomb area when you come up on the other side.įrom the Aqueduct Ruins camp-fire, look for a cave to the east. Use Left Trigger to dive down under a wall. Once you've killed the bear (don't forget to skin it!), go back into the cave and use Survival Instinct to show a weak wall at the back. A shotgun to the head works well, but definitely be prepared for some well-timed dodging.
Run back outside before it eats you for lunch. Follow the passage and you'll see the message letting you know you're entering the tomb section.įind the cave at the location on the map below. Once you've killed the wolves on the other side, open the door. You'll see an iron door and a low hole in the wall ahead. Go in to start the tomb section.įrom the Valley Farmstead’s Base Camp, head north, cross bridge over the river, swing over the break in the path and you should find yourself at the location on the map below. You'll see the tomb entrance at the bottom, ahead of you and slightly to the left. Now climb down into the cave using the ladder. You can see the crane in the image below (sorry: I dropped the log before I captured the shot). The only way to smash through is to shoot a block holding a log dangling above it from a crane. Walk in and start the tomb section.Īt the location on the map below, you'll find a boarded hole in the ground. Just pull the wood away and open the door with your ice axe. You'll find a door Lara can only access once she's got rope for her arrows. You'll see some yellow symbols and a green light.ĭrop down, walk up to the console and hit it. You're looking for the ledge in the image below.
Once you've done that, climb a small set of stairs and look behind you. You'll finish a section in which Lara learns to make Molotovs. The Red Mine is accessed through the Copper Mill. Just jump over to the location on the map below and the Ice Ship will be hanging from the wall directly in front of you. You go right past it on your way through the Glacial Cavern.

The entrances are hidden, and can be tough to find, but completion of these levels will give you loot you won't get anywhere else. Rise of the Tomb Raider's Challenge Tombs are optional, but provide some of the best platforming and puzzling in the entire game.
